Share hosts four major fundraising events each year:
 
Mardi Gras Gala & Casino Night (February):
Initiated as a celebration for Share’s first 25 years of service to the community, the Mardi Gras Gala & Casino Night is a Black Tie optional fundraising event to support Share’s programs and services. The event features a buffet dinner, casino-style gambling and a silent and live auction.
 
Share-a-Bowl Soup Dinner (April):
Share-a-Bowl was envisioned to give our donors a sense of the experience our Hot Meal Program clients have each day at Share House. Over the last few years, more than 400 donors and their families have joined us for a soup dinner and lively concert at the Skyview High School cafeteria.
 
Hoops on the River 3-on-3 Basketball Benefit (August):
Hoops on the River is a 3-on-3 basketball tournament held in downtown Vancouver, along the bank of the Columbia River. The year 2006 marked the inaugural event, which attracted 54 teams from throughout Southwest Washington and Northern Oregon; champions were crowned in 10 divisions. The tournament promises to become one of the largest in the Northwest.
 
Papa Murphy’s Golf Classic (September):
This festive scramble-format golf tournament is an annual sell-out. Due to the support of Papa Murphy’s and its vendors, this event has had tremendous corporate support from national food manufacturers and is among the most successful in the market.
 
Adopt a Holiday.
Special times of the year can be the hardest times for those in need. You can brighten those days by sponsoring a holiday celebration or event—a Valentine’s Day or Halloween party, a celebration of Christmas, Easter, Hanukkah, or Kwanza… use your imagination and think of the joy you might bring.
