Frequently Asked Questions
How can I access shelter services provided by Share?
Families, single women and single men: if you are in need of shelter or know someone who is, call the Emergency Shelter Clearinghouse at (360) 695-9677.
 
Daily living services – offered through Share Outreach – are available Monday through Friday on a walk-in basis, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at 1115 W 13th Street (located in the portable buildings across the street from Share House). These services include access to showers, laundry facilities, clothing, mail and transportation assistance.
 
When are meals offered at Share House?
Monday to Friday: 6:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Meals are free and open to the public.
 
What are the necessary qualifications for Share ASPIRE/transitional housing program? And, how can I apply to the ASPIRE program?
Those eligible for ASPIRE include families, disabled individuals and honorably discharged veterans. Applicants must be homeless at the time of application and working with a qualified case manager on a monthly basis.

Do you charge for any of your services?
Services are provided at no cost to our clients.
 
What percentage of each dollar spent by Share goes directly to services and programs?
94% of total expenditures go directly to Share services and programs.

Donations can be made by credit card on our Web site. Click on “Donate Now” in the upper, right-hand corner of the home page; you will be directed to a secure page to make your donation. Checks can be mailed to: Share, PO Box 1209, Vancouver WA 98666.
